The rise of Generative AI (GenAI) is transforming businesses by offering powerful tools that can enhance efficiency. Klaverblad, a Dutch insurance company, is further improving the quality and consistency of its injury claims handling. The first step lies in deploying a GenAI-powered pilot of adigital knowledge assistant, tailored to help Klaverblad's employees in claims processing. The digital assistant is to help provide guidance to junior staff, by navigating through extensive internal and external guidelines, as well as Klaverblad's proprietary systems and workflows. Moreover, it is to gives instructions and knowledge to juniors for proper claim valuation and documentation handling. By addressing the distinct needs of the injury claims domain, Klaverblad seeks to bring junior insurance professionals up to speed faster, while redirecting their senior professional’s time away from assisting junior colleagues towards more high-value work which directly benefits the customer.

During this talk, Klaverblad and Xebia will dive deeper into how they leverage various components, such as OpenAI, Azure Search and Langfuse, to build such an assistant. Next to technical details, we will give practical insights on how to bring such applications into production.

The talk aims to aid ML engineers, data scientists, and platform engineers with the knowledge and tools to address the challenges of building and managing LLM applications in production environments.
